If you know me, you know that I am a firm believer in organization. Heck, I find organizing things relaxing (weird, I know). But I also think finding a system that works for you + your lifestyle is such a key to success. Here are my methods to keep my ducks in a row:
- Written Planner: I save these things like they are old diaries, because in a sense, they are. All of my school assignments, little reminders, birthdays of family and friends, etc. are recorded in this bad boy. This year I am using one from Anthropologie which has a little bit different layout in the past. On the left side, I record meetings and important reminders, and on the right side, I keep a rolling to-do list of homework and extracurricular tasks.
- Apple Cal: I am so off the bandwagon with using Google Calendar. I prefer my Apple Calendar app in my phone because it syncs with all Calendar apps on my other devices. Appointment reminders, class times, dinner with friends, and other big events are stored in here.
- Post-It Notes: Truly one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century, these are a small tool to shout “DON’T FORGET!” to myself, from picking up my textbooks to my weekly grocery list.
- Journal: I carry mine everywhere with me in case I have a post idea, come across something that inspires me, or just need to get my thoughts on paper.
